FOODIE FOOLS DAY RECIPE! - "Grilled Cheese Sandwiches"

I know it's a little late in the day, but maybe if you're reading this from the Western Time Zone you still have enough time to play a delightful little trick on a friend or family member. A friend shared a link with me (thank you Marty!) a few days ago that had some cute April Fools ideas on it.  Some of them were very time consuming and you could tell immediately that the payout was not worth the ante. But one in particular stood out to me that would make my daughter squeal with delight. Well, first confusion, then delight. Here's how you do it, it's very easy and requires very little time and effort.

~Ingredients~

1 prepared pound cake (You can use a store-bought cake but they seemed very small. So I baked my own.)
White cake frosting
yellow food coloring
red food coloring
~Directions~
1.  Prepare pound cake as you normally would and allow to cool for an hour or so.
2.  Scoop out desired amount of frosting into a bowl.
3.  Add drops of both yellow and red food coloring until you reach the color of American cheese.
4.  Cut two slices of your pound cake and toast them in the toaster oven until slightly browned on one side.
5.  Spread the colored frosting on the un-browned side of one of the slices of pound cake.  Place the other slice of pound cake on top, browned-side-up so it looks exactly like a grilled cheese sandwich.
It's unreal how cool they came out! Loved it!
After a moment or two of confusion, Piper's mind went totally haywire. Her brain said grilled cheese, her mouth said dessert. For a new little toddler brain, that had to be really trippy.
AND HERE'S A VIDEO!!!
