At first she was inquisitive:
Oh this is just awful.
How do you people eat this stuff?! Oh...god....(gag)
Mom, I will try this for you one more time and that's IT. I mean it...
Here goes...
HEEEYYYYY! THAT'S NOT SO BAD!
Well, I ended up eating the whole tortilla with hummus. Does that mean I like it?
1 can of garbanzo beans
1 tsp. minced garlic
3 Tbsp. olive oil
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste
~Instructions~
Puree all ingredients in a food processor until nice and smooth.
Spread over half of a whole wheat tortilla, sprinkle some more pepper on top, and cover with the other half of the tortilla. Serve to your infant and let the faces begin!
Next time add tahini Mama Bailey! Tahini is so yummy its like pb made with sesame seeds!!
ReplyDeleteI know it would have made it tastier (and it's really how you're SUPPOSED to make it), but I didn't have anything but olive oil in the pantry. :-( I just made do with what I had at the moment. Blah.
ReplyDeleteNo worries, subbing ingredients sometimes yields awesome discoveries!! (and sometimes it yields pizza delivery)
ReplyDeleteHahaha. She is soo stinking cute & funny. Her faces just crack me up. So expressive.
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute! I think I will have to make this for my niece when she is able to start eating table foods!
ReplyDeleteCaption for the last photo of my sweet baby great niece: "I've got yummy in my tummy!"
ReplyDeletewhere is the tahini in the ingredients?!!! hummus without tahini is like...a dog without a bone. lol. she seems to eat anything anyway though..you are LUCKY!
